RH252 - Tool Cabinet Access Control
Description
The tool cabinet access control system is designed as a simple stand alone system. Each reader stores it’s own list of valid card numbers in non-volatile memory. A swipe of the cabinet’s mastercard enables the addition or removal of one or more cards. Differing LED flashing sequences indicate which mode the reader is currently in, and whether access has been granted. The battery enables the cabinet to be mobile without affecting security, though it will eventually discharge enough to stop the actuator working.
The system has so far been fitted to two manufacturers cabinets, though it should be able to be fitted to any cabinet with a locking mechanism.
